About the event
The June edition of The Ojeman Files pulls together three acts with wildly different styles, but one thing in common—they all leave something on the floor.
Catterina leads the day with a voice that was never supposed to exist. Born premature and intubated for the first three months of her life, doctors once said she might never speak. Now based in Houston by way of Brooklyn, she delivers every lyric with full-bodied intensity—fusing indie pop and folk in a way that’s both tender and commanding.
Between Trees follows—no backstory, no bio, just music that cuts through the noise. Some bands need an intro. Others just plug in and make it known.
Midnight Papers closes it out with a set that feels like a spark about to catch. Formed at a New Year’s Eve party and fueled by protopunk and new wave, this Houston duo plays like they’ve been lighting fires ever since.
